We were proud to be asked once again to create the player packs for this years British Open in Portrush, Ireland.
The Player Packs are stylish, medium sized presentation boxes, produced for each golfer who enters the famous tournament. Upon arrival the golfers are handed the player packs with the following items displayed: 1 player badge, 1 player photo ID, 3 guest tickets in the form of guest photo ID badges- which grant access to the course, player complex and the links pavilion and finally 4 guest tickets which provide access to the course and the links pavilion.
As with previous years, we worked in tandem with the reputable printer Harding’s with whom we have a longstanding relationship.
Harding’s touched base with the Open’s organisers in the first instance to establish their print requirements. The organisers then provided the artwork to Harding’s for them to print and that was then delivered in to BLL.
Our Head of Creative along with the rest of the team then produced the custom box. The process involved binding the print over grey board and forming the box to the agreed specification. The bespoke box was manufactured with a magnetic flap to keep the contents secure in the box and for ease of opening and closing. The box was then finished by blind debossing the Open’s logo onto the top of the box.
The finished article is one which proudly represents the grand and traditional image of golfs finest tournament. It adheres to the brand’s colours and is beautifully finished inside and out.
